I've been in love with food for as long as I can remember. I used to photocopy recipes from the book in our library when I was in grade school. I'd save my baon so I'll have the money to buy the ingredients. I was so fond of baking then. Unfortunately, we don't have an oven at home so I ended up baking cookies at our oven toaster. My older sister tried the cookies and told me, it tasted like the 1 peso bread we buy at the Sari-sari store. I felt happy. It was edible and that was enough for me.
During the town fiesta, I would always watch Mang Dario (the cook my mother hires because she doesn't cook that much) prepare the food. I used to be his little helper. It's one of my most awaited time of the year when I was little.
As I grow older, I find myself watching cooking shows on food network. I also loved Heny Sison's Sunday morning cooking show in IBC 13. My mother noticed that I love cooking so it came to a point that I became the designated cook at home whenever there's an occasion.
When I started working, I explored on food more. Finally, I had the money to buy the ingredients, the cooking and baking tools that I need. But having a job also means having less free time so I can't cook a lot however I was able to experience different kind of food and was able to travel to different places. :D
With this blog, I will document all my future food adventures and that includes dining experience, cooking and food products! Hopefully I can keep this updated and I can also add my past food adventures in this blog. :D
